First (of many) Weight Loss Goal Achieved!

I know I just released a post this morning, and it is REALLY not like me to release more than a post a day. I’m lucky most weeks if I am able to release a post or two. However, I wanted to share in the excitement that I discovered this morning when I stepped on the scale. I had not only reached my first weight loss goal of getting down to 230 pounds – I blew it out of the water and I am at 227.6 pounds! I am so pumped! This little fact gave me incredible motivation.

Let me just say I am very aware that I am a yo yo dieter and have been for many years. It wasn’t until a few years ago that I got really serious about losing weight and started setting goals for myself. But, for some reason right before I would hit my first goal I would sobotage my efforts and completely fall off of the wagon. So, this is the first time EVER I have reached a weight loss goal and let me tell you I’m really excited! I did not waste any time, and set my next goal up this morning to get to 200 pounds. Right now I cannot believe that this is the least I have weighed in over five years!

I hope this gives you some sense of encouragement as you go along your weight loss journey. It can be done, but it takes consistent work every day! Now, tonight I am going shopping for a new pair of jeans – the reward I have been promising myself for this first weight loss goal. I hope to post a few new pictures of my progression within the next week or so – I will be sure to include a picture of my new jeans.
