Back on Track!

This is not going to be very long, but I did want to give an update on my progress last week. I was able to really get after my goals for the week and buckled down on my calories consumed and tried to really get back to working out like I was doing before. Though, this still continues to be a daily battle that I am struggling with. Friday is a prime example of that. On Friday I went over my calories by over 600 calories. It was poor planning on my part. My proud moment of the week was that on Easter Sunday I ended the day below my calories for the day even with all of the yummy food around for the holiday I was able to follow my calories and still indulge in a small piece of wonderful chocolate coconut cake.

All in all last week I lost 4.4 pounds. I believe a good portion of that was water weight that I had gained the week before from poor planning and lack of exercise. I was also below my weekly calorie budget by 1,450 calories. I am very proud of my progress from last week.

BUT, not nearly as proud as I was when I stepped on the scale this morning. I weighed in at 200.0 pounds. Oh. My. God! I have now lost 54 pounds to date and have reached my goal of being at or below 200 pounds by my 30th birthday (which is Saturday). I cannot put into words how excited I was about this. I feel more confident with every pounds that I lose and every goal that I reach that I will NOT go back to how I was living before. It is so not worth it. I look and feel wonderful. I love shopping for clothes again. I love watching my clothes get smaller and smaller. Most importantly I love that I have more energy and I know I am much healthier than ever before. This week I hope to take measurements again to see how many inches I have lost along with these 54 pounds.
